2007 Honors- League Offensive M.V.P., 1st Team All League and received All-State Honors. During his jr. season Jake amassed 1700 yards passing and 800 yds. rushing, with a total of 28 touchdowns(10 rushing). Jake is also a Kansas Honors Scholar and is ranked 25th/455 in his class. Jake also is a 2-time letterman and is the point guard for the Derby basketball team.
